UTP STAGE I (FOUNDATION PROGRAM)

ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCE

Equivalent to the first year of SFU's Bachelor of Arts degree, it’s the foundation for areas of study like economics, English, international studies, political science, psychology, linguistics and criminology.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Equivalent to the first year of SFU's Bachelor of Business Administration, you’ll explore business and commerce aspects before choosing your area of specialization.

COMMUNICATION, ART AND TECHNOLOGY

Introductory courses within the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, to help you prepare for a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Double Minor specialization. Equivalent to the first year of SFU's Bachelor of Arts degree.

COMMUNICATION AND BUSINESS

This course helps you understand the foundation of Communication and Business and is equivalent to the first year of SFU’s Bachelor of Arts degree, enabling you to enter the second year of studies at SFU in the Communication and Business Minor programs.

COMPUTING SCIENCE

This foundation in computing helps you decide on your area of specialization for your undergraduate degree, and is equivalent to the first year of SFU's Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree program.

ENGINEERING SCIENCE

Engineering Science provides first-year courses and the foundation for progression to the second year of SFU's School of Engineering Science degrees.

ENVIRONMENT

Bachelor of Science Environment (Science) provides first-year courses and the foundation for progression to the second year of SFU's Faculty of Environment.

HEALTH SCIENCE

Bachelor of Arts

SFU's Health Sciences allows students to gain an excellent foundation in a variety of areas and choose the area of study to specialize in at SFU.

Bachelor of Science

First-year courses and the foundation for progression to the second year of SFU's Faculty of Health Sciences. The programs combine scientific inquiry with social and behavioural research to examine underlying causes of health and disease that influence population health.

SCIENCE

Choose to focus on one of four different areas that span eight departments: mathematics and data science, experimental science, life science, or general science. Then engage in interdisciplinary studies across all SFU faculties.
